Martin,

I would not miss this opportunity to publicly honour our some 25 years as colleagues at Calvin Klein, Armani and Paul Smith.

Over the years I have watched you fight or what it right and proper, and although I may not have always appreciated it when our time came to work more closely, it did not take me long to realise that it was your knowledge speaking not purely your voice.

Putting aside your magnificent business achievements in terms of image representation and fiscal budgets, I want to thank you the time we spent together at Paul Smith, because, as importantly to me you were exactly as you promised to be – a True Ambassador with complete integrity and congruent operational standards.

It mattered not whether we had been discussing art or fashion, your easy going nature and continued enthusiasm and knowledge have been a pleasure to share time with.

I wish you well in your new venture.
