I met Martin Nielsen about a decade ago. Bursting with energy and positive charismas, we quickly became friends and over the course of our relationship he proved to be an extremely passionate, curious collector, who watches out for new trends and the undiscovered, as well as for the established masters. Once he decides to collect an artist, he usually collects them in depth. This way Martin Nielsen has built an impressive collection, in variety as well as in quality. He has a unique way to install and contextualise art works and it is always a great pleasure to visit him in Aalborg and to see the latest developments of art enriching his enviroment.
